Dial order

When Fire Door attempts to connect to the Internet on behalf of a client, it will dial all of the hosts in the Dialup Configuration list. It will dial the hosts is the same order as the the Dialup Configuration list until one of them connects. It may skip some hosts depending upon the accumulated connect time for that host and the settings of the Connection Time Limit and Connection Time Period fields in the Dialup Parameters page for that host.

Adding dialup hosts

To add a new dialup host, click on the last line in the Dialup Configuration list which has the text "Add new remote". A Dialup Host Parameters page will appear. Select the name of Remote Access configuration you wish to use to connect to your service provider in the field labelled "Name:". The remainder of the parameters can be left at their default values unless you need to change them

Press the button labelled "Accept", and a new page will be displayed confirming that the new configuration has been added. Use "Back" button on your browser to redisplay the Dialup Configuration list and confirm that the new dialup host appears in the list.

Removing dialup hosts

Dialup hosts can be removed from the list by pressing the "Remove" button next to the entry to be removed.

Changing dialup host parameters

The Dialup Parameters page for a dialup host can be displayed by selecting the hyperlink in the entry for the appropriate host.
